Backyard Composting

Fall is a perfect time to start a compost pile!  Join the Addison County Solid Waste Management District for a free Backyard Composting Workshop to learn how to turn your household food waste into compost!  Composting food scraps will allow you to save money on your trash bill, reduce your impact on the environment, build healthy soil for your yard and garden, and comply with Vermont’s Universal Recycling Law, which bans food scraps from the landfill in July 2020.  Workshop participants will receive a discount on a SoilSaver compost bin.  Space is limited, so registration is required.
